"I found that I could say things in color and shape that I had no words for" Georgia O'Keefe

As I spend time working on pulling this project together, I am inspired by how many people have commented on the impact something like this could have. With this said, I am expanding the entry to include a few more schools. I am working on the details. If everything goes well, the first question will be posted shortly. In the meantime, here is a warm-up for you: Looking at the quote above, and thinking about the world you live in, what things in your experience are expressed better visually?

The Project

A mosaic is a conglomerate of tiles that creates an image. Each of us, like those tiles, are individual. We have our own interests, experiences, and opinions. Like a mosaic, we create one image, a world image. This project is dedicated to finding a meeting ground in our diversities, through art.
HS artists from very different communities have been invited to post their artwork. Each posting will be an answer to a question and created in a medium of choice. The first question will be posed by an accomplished artist. Upon posting of the first works, participating artists will be invited to host a dialogue about their exhibition. It is that dialogue that promises to generate the next quesion, creating a visual conversation to be continued throughout the year.
